DScaler

Hi there...

My config :

- ATI 7000
- Pinnacle PCTV Rave
- Dscaler (3.1 and 3.1.1 both tested)
- Windows desktop resolution 800*600 32bit color

Here is my problem :

Connecting a video source PAL with the composite cable, I only have a black screen in Dscaler. I don't see anything...

I've try different settings, but it is always the same. I've try different Hardware but nothing.

BTW, when my video source play, the message no video signal in Dscaler dissapear, so something arrived.

Please help me ! It seems that nobody can't do it in the freench forum homecinema-fr.com

Try taking a still when the source is playing, using the L key.

See if there is any picture in the still.

If there is a picture something is really messed up with the overlay settings on your card.

Hi,

I've tried this night.
I've got nothing in the picture file.

BTW when I play a dvd with power dvd everything is OK so i don't think that it is an overlay problem.

also i have a request, it will be great that dscaler could be launch without a card.
We could then look at the menu and other to help guys on the forum. (i don't have a bt car din my pc at work !

)

I believe it is possible to launch DScaler without BT cards installed using DScaler 4.0.

I will modify for the next alpha version.
In my opinion, it should be possible to use DScaler even without BT cards, in order to be able to use DScaler as a file player or to use patterns ...

Hi,

Thanks for your suggest.
This night I 've found the solution!
(I test your solution, nothing... Works with pinnacle soft, change video cable...)

So i decide to look better my config.
In fact my pctv card was on irq15 and my netcard too. No problem in windows, pctv card work and lan too. But I decide to take out my lan card, last idea and solution.

THEN IT WORKS IN DSCALER !!!!!!!!!
It seems that if your card share the IRQ with another card, evrything work except Dscaler !

Now it works and i gonna resinstall everything because I have install deinstall many drivers and as i want a clean install...
