It works fine with Vista RTM, Geforce 6800GT(Forceware 97.34), PCTV Stereo(SAA7134 Chip). |

It seems to work ok in Windows XP so now i can actually see tv in both my monitors (clone setup) on Windows Vista i've had mixed results, copying my windows xp install crashed everytime on start a fresh install runned (need to do some testing).
Unfortunately since i have an Ati tv wonder pci (bt8x8 chip) I've been affected by the know 100% utilization bug, so unless you backport your changes to version 4.0.12 of dscaler it will still be a less them optimal solution for some of us.
Still, great work, keep it up |

I'm assuming this isn't meant to work on Vista x64, right?
I'm using RC1 x64 and it gives me the following error:
File:Providers.cpp line: 488 Message: Can't load Hardware Driver, possibly caused by corrupt installation. Reboot and try again.
(I do have driver signing disabled)
I tried it with the driver you included and the experimental driver Michael Lutz made. I guess it would make sense that neither would work, since one isn't meant for x64 and the other isn't meant for D3D. DScaler stays open and doesn't give me overlay errors anymore though, so this is an awesome step forward Thanks a lot.

Error #5 is an access denied error.
The rumor was that Vista only allowed signed drivers. Some other people noticed that this was not needed but maybe they are not running x64?
Can you try running Dscaler with administrative rights, maybe this allows Dscaler to install the driver? |

Hm, well, it got rid of that error, but gave me a new one:

Also, it is true that Vista x64 requires signed drivers. I need to press F8 while booting and I must select an "allow unsigned drivers" option to prevent more errors. There's no option to just disable the requirement entirely |

thank you so much. im starting to wonder if its too good to be true..!
DScaler FORCING itself into Overlay drove me nuts, and made Vista VERY hard to use before.
my computer is my main TV viewing device.
ChrisTV sucks compared to DScaler, and crashes too much for me under Vista.
DScaler would kill the interface under Vista.
you fixed DScaler for me!
also, i can now change resolutions and do full screen apps without DScaler going nuts!
does this work under XP as well? or is it Vista only? |

this has made DScaler work better in Windows XP as well.
i dont know why Overlay was FORCED with the program, but having it use Direct3D has made it work much better under Vista and XP.
the only issues i've noticed:
- sometimes it seems to hang when i start it up.
- if UAC is enabled, and the screen goes black when it prompts for permission, DScaler closes/crashes. |

I have a strange one - DScaler works fine until i try to access my card (Sweetspot / PDI Deluxe) which runs for a few random seconds then crashes Vista (complete hang).
Any thoughts anyone? If i pull the card out DScaler works fine, it only seems to struggle once the card is accessed. |

For the record i now have it working - it turned out that Vista does not like the card being connected to a PCI riser! |

Hi, I cannot download this file from that server, it is actively refusing HTTP port 80 connections. Is there someone who can send me this file or rehost it somewhere else? |
