|
|
Hi
I have an Asus TVFM card ( TV7134 Rev 1.03 PAL )
( I have 5 tv cards here and the Asus 7134 card is awesome by comparison in both video and audio quality to the other cards )
Dscaler 4.1.7 works fine with it with a couple of exceptions.
I need to select the Philips FQ1216ME MK3 [PAL/SECAM multi] Tuner module for the card to work ... alternatively if I select the Medion TV-Tuner 7134 MK2/2 it works great as this auto selects the correct tuner.
The main problem is when I run a radio program close it and then attempt to start Dscaler there is no reception but hash in the picture and also in the audio ... I need to select "source>Asus Dshow" and then select "source>Asus TV/FM" to get the video and audio back. I have tried numerous radio apps and they all have the same effect when I try to run Dscaler.
The driver I am using is the latest from the Asus site with the following info:
Version 2.3.0.2: ( 5th August 2003 )
================
WDM:
- reduced the max video size from 1440x1200 to 720x576
- fixed radio problems of the tuner driver
- fixed FM radio mode for the FM1236MK3
- fixed FQ1236MK3/ FM1238MK3 PLL offset
- SECAM refresh for FM1216ME
- fixed standby and hibernate mode for FM radio (tuner driver)
- Implemented once again additional FM radio pin for the crossbar
If you need me to do anything at this end let me know
Regards
Mike. |

|

I am sorry that I am posting in wrong place - but it's kind of a "7134" issue.
I Have ASUS TV/FM 7134HL PAL (Phiips tuner) and I live in Serbia (PAL B/G region) and it seem that there is no my country channel-table
Anyway - when I choose the correct tuner - during the FULL-SCAN DScaler finds all frequencies - but it simply won't stop & add channels to the list - it simply passes the like there are no channels at all !!!???
But when I mannualy enter the frequency for any channel - the channel is there.
Every other softwear seems to fork fine (Virtual VCR, Vdub, WinDvr,...)
I tried all 3 Philips tuners listed for PAL region - and all is the same.
Is this support not quiet good for the moment or is something wrong with my setting ??? |

I'll try use Medion TV-Tuner 7134 MK2/2 if it helps ...
@ MIKE
Can you tell/post the locatio where you get updated drivers for ASUS?
I was on www.asus.com.tw but the page with drivers/softwear updates seems to be empty ?
Thx |

|
|
card: Hauppauge Wintv-PVR. It has a TV/FM tuner, BT878 PCI bridge, SAA7113 decoder, MSP3435 audio, KFIR 1 encoder. Tuner: Microtune 4009 FR5
Using DScaler 4.1.7 got the sound working in Dublin, Ireland on NTL network, with the manual setup of:
Audio standard: I-NICAM-F
Audio channel: Language 2
Major carrier: 6 MHz
Major carrier: 6.552 MHz
IMPORTANT: To get sound I MUST goto manual config an click the "Detect Stereo" then "OK" button _every time_ I start DScaler.
If you know a better way of doing this please let me know. Auto detect does not work.
regards

Please try to make this card compatible with Dscaler since it rocks so much! The build/image/sound quality is great, but it only needs AWESOME software! This is where Dscaler comes in
http://www.comprousa.com/products/vmtvgoldplus.htm
It uses the Philips SAA7133/SAA7134 chipset! |

Hello,
I have Asus TV/FM 7134 Pal, and I am very pleased with my card.
I use Fly2000 TV or ChrisTV to autoscan my programs, have them listed, etc.
When I run DScaler after I have used one of the programs above, the program is set up to the desired frequency and everything with DScaler is perfect (it detects my card Asus TV/FM , Philips Pal).
When I try to scan frequencies even with full scan, or with manual frequency setting - nothing happens.
I tried to set a different tuner than Philips Pal - no result.
Has anyone succeeded with Asus TV/FM to set channels through DScaler. The same problems go with Radio Tunning.
So my only way to use DScaler is to run other program, set there the frequency, exit and then run DScaler.
Please tell me that there is a normal way too. |
