NOTE: The cards listed below are only supported if they contain a SAA7134 or SAA7130 chip. There are different region variations of the FlyVideo series cards that use the newer SAA7133 or SAA7135 chip. These cards are not supported. --Although some may partially work.

Update: I have a backlog RegSpy logs that I've been sent but have not yet looked at. I can no longer work on these logs, or any other RegSpy logs that you email me as I just don't have the time to reacquaint myself with the inner workings of DScaler. However, I've finally finished a script that I started some time ago, that attempts to do everything I used to do, automatically. To use the script you will still need to follow the steps listed below, but instead of emailling me the log at the end, give the log to the script.

These are the list of cards that should be supported in a coming release:

- LifeView FlyVideo 3000
- LifeView FlyVideo 2000
- SKNet Monster TV
- Tevion MD 9717
- KNC One TV-Station RDS
- Terratec Cinergy 400 TV
- Medion 5044
- KWORLD KW-TV713XRF
- Manli M-TV001
- Terratec Cinergy 600 TV
- Medion TV-Tuner 7134 MK2/3
- Manli M-TV002
- V-Gear MyTV SAP PK
- ASUS TV/FM
- Kobian Mercury TV Tuner Card (Must set Audio Channel to Stereo)
- Medion MD-2819 PC-TV-radio card
- FlyVideo FlyView 3100 (SAA7133 - no audio)
- Pinnacle PCTV Stereo
- AverMedia AverTV Studio 305
- Chronos Video Shuttle II FM
- Elitegroup EZ-TV
- ST Lab PCI-TV7130
- Lifeview FlyTV Platinum (SAA7133 - no audio)
- Compro VideoMate TV Gold Plus (The SAA7134 variant)
- Chronos Video Shuttle II (SAA7130, same as FlyVideo2000)
- Chronos Video Shuttle II (Stereo, SAA7134, same as FlyVideo3000)
- Much TV Plus IT005
- Grandmars PV951P4TF (use Elitegroup EZ-TV)
- V-Gear MyTV2 Radio
- Snazio TVPVR (use FlyVideo 2000)
- K-Win V-Stream Studio TV Terminator (SAA7133 - no audio, no tuner)
- Terratec Cinergy 200 TV
- Empire PCI TV-Radio LE
- AverMedia AverTV Studio 307
- Compro VideoMate TV Gold Plus II (Possible tuning problems - unresolved)
- FOTOCOM TV ONE XP
- Medion MD-42073
- V-Stream Xpert-TV PVR-7134

If you have an SAA7134 or an SAA7130 card that is not on the above list, you can help by providing us with the required technical information about your card. The steps below will go through how you can do this.

Unless you have DScaler 4.1.6 alpha or newer that comes with RegSpy, you will need to download and install RegSpy separately from the project webpage, (under the "Tools" heading):

http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=7420&release_id=129648

You will also need:
- A program that works with your card. (e.g. the program that came with your card)
- About 10 minutes to perform these steps.

CAUTION: There is a slight possibility that running RegSpy will cause a BSOD (a blue screen). For this reason, it is safer to perform these steps after a reboot when no unwritten/unflushed documents are open. Please let me know if an error occurs.

1. Run RegSpy.
2. Make sure your card is displayed where it says "Source Card".
3. Click the "Log State" button (lower right).

4. Run the program that works with your card.
5. Wait a few seconds then click "Log State".

6. Remember what the initial video source is. (TV, Composite, etc.)

7. Select the Composite source. (in the program you ran on Step 4)
8. Wait a few seconds then click "Log State".

9. Select the S-Video source.
10. Wait a few seconds then click "Log State".

11. If the card doesn't have Radio, go to step 14.
12. Select the Radio source.
13. Wait a few seconds then click "Log State".

14. Select the Tuner source.
15. Wait a few seconds then click "Log State".

16. Quit the TV program.
17. Wait a few seconds then do "Save To File...".

These are the card states that should be in the saved file after you have performed the above steps:

STATE1 = Before program.
STATE2 = Initial source. (please tell me what this one is)
STATE3 = Composite source.
STATE4 = S-Video source.
STATE5 = Radio source. (please tell me if this one exists)
STATE5/6 = Tuner source.
LAST = After program.

If your card does not have a Composite or an S-Video source, skip the steps for selecting and logging that missing source, but please tell me where you have done this.

If your card has more video sources than are covered above, you will need to log the extra sources in a different RegSpy session. RegSpy can only record a maximum of 6 states, (plus 1 for when the file is saved).

If you need to make RegSpy forget all its recorded states, you can either exit and rerun RegSpy or hold down the Ctrl key and click the "Reset States" button (lower right).

Update: Please disregard the quoted section below. Do not email me your results or post them here. Instead, use this script provided here.
Quote:
After you have performed the above steps, please attach the file you saved in an email to atnak@users.sf.net. Please also include in the email what the initial source was and meanings of any states that differ from the above. Finally, I will also need to know what the name of the tuner on the card is.

If you must post the information here instead of using email, please edit the file and reduce its contents first:

1. I only need the first state in full then the changes between states thereafter. The first state is called "SAA713x Card - State 0:" and the changes between states are marked "Changes: State n -> State N:".

2. Even in the first state, I do not need registers that have only zero values. e.g.:
SAA7134_TS_PARALLEL_SERIAL: 00 (00000000)

Please do not forget to post what the initial source was and any states that differ (e.g. no radio, no composite, etc.).

The name of the tuner may be difficult to obtain. I do not have definitive instructions for finding out the name of the tuner, but there are no major problems if you're unable to. (The card will just be missing a default tuner.)

DScaler does not currently support Radio mode. The information requested in this post is for completeness only.

Regards,

Asus TV/FM (SAA7134)

Also, support for those three cards I just posted will not be available until a version after 4.1.6a.
