Hello,

First of all, thanks to the developers for creating such a wonderful application. It saved me from having to buy a new card when I made the switch to digital tv... The display on my avermedia application was terrible. I first thought that my card was not good enough. Someone suggested DScaler and I was amazed the first time I used it. Keep up the great work and I am looking forward to future releases!

I am not sure if the developers are taking into consideration requests about new features that would require custom plugins... If they don't, maybe someone here knows about independent programmers or web sites releasing 3rd party or custom DScaler plugins (maybe for a small fee?). What would be nice is a plugin to be able to view live TV in 3D for those of us using 3D shutter glasses. (nvidia 3D stereo "page-flipped" or "interleaved" display modes - preferably opengl "page-flipped" for best quality.) Many of us have been looking for an application to select a 2D video source and watch it in 3D realtime for a very long time without any success. This is a "hot topic" in many 3D-related forums. There are a few applications for pre-recorded movies or DVD's but not for live TV. From the input I received by visiting these forums, DScaler is the best TV application to implement this feature (especially for "interleaved" display) and creating the plugin would be fairly easy since the source code is available. But I am not a programmer therefore I can't do this task by myself... I am not sure if this is even remotely possible to hope for such a feature in future releases but I am posting this message anyway just in case... Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

PS: If the developers need more details about the type of shutter glasses or the page-flipping/interlacing modes including sample pictures they are free to PM or email me privately.

Inferring a 3D picture from 2D data is much too difficult a problem to solve in real time. Considering problems with noise and sampling of an over the air signal, I suspect the result would be poor even if plenty of time were available.

That said, if anyone wants to try it, the plug-in API is available.
